During the flyby on 7 June, Juno passed the surface of Ganymede at just 1,038 kilometres. Ganymede is the largest moon in the solar system. The spacecraft has been in orbit around Jupiter since 4 July 2016, but this was the first close flyby of one of Jupiter's major moons.
