Jupiter's Turbulent Clouds

This striking composite image of Jupiter's stormy northern hemisphere was captured by NASA's Juno spacecraft as it performed a close flyby of the gas giant planet. Some bright white clouds tower on the right side of Jupiter's disc to great heights.

Juno captured the four images used to create this view during its 20th science flyby of Jupiter from 18,600 and 8,600 kilometres above Jupiter's cloud tops.
